Welcome to Muir Lake Community Alliance Church!

Our church strives to powerfully live out the mission God gave us: "To make followers of Jesus who love God and others selflessly."  With the help of the Holy Spirit we are seeing His Word proclaimed, lives transformed, and our community impacted.

Our regular service is on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.  There is a supervised Nursery for children ages 0 to 3 years, and Kid Zone for children age 4 to Grade 6.  Check out our Children's Ministry page for more information.

History

Muir Lake Community Alliance Church was originally planted by Spruce Grove Alliance Church and some faithful believers in 1982.  The purpose of planting the church was to reach the community of Muir Lake for Jesus, which continues to be our mandate today.

The church began as a Bible study meeting in the local school, and eventually grew to holding services and hiring a pastor.  Muir Lake Community Alliance Church had a close relationship with Muir Lake School, and witnessed seven teachers come to know the Lord!  However, as the congregation grew, there was a need to have a building of its own.  Construction of the church building was completed in 1991.

The church was built almost entirely through volunteers, on a hill overlooking the school and community hall.  The finalization of the church name and location resonated the words of Jesus to the people: "You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden." (Matthew 5:14)

Since its beginning Muir Lake Community Alliance Church has been a strong force for furthering God's Kingdom and saving lives.  As a church we have had the privilege and blessing of seeing over 270 people come to faith and over 70 baptisms!  Praise the Lord!
